Good As I Was to You

She Drove up to the restaurantWhere they used to dine,He was sittin at the tableWith someone new this timeShe walked up right beside himHer face did not turn red,She looked at him so calmly, and this is what she said:
Good as i was to you, is this the thanks i get?Are all the years we shared, so easy to forget?Does this mean that you've won?Are you finally having fun?Is she your dream come true?Oh, she sure looks good, but she wont ever beGood as i was to you.
The room got awful quiet, Everybody staredFinally the waiter said, "should i bring another chair?"She said "no i was just leavin' "But as she walked out the doorShe said "honey, you can have him, I dont want him anymore."
Good as i was to you, is this the thanks i get?Are all the years we shared, So easy to forget?Is the way its done, lookin out for number one?Did you think it through?Oh, she sure looks good, but she wont never be GOOD as i was to you.
Does this mean that you've won?Are you finally havin' fun?Is she your dream come true?Oh she sure looks good, but she wont ever be good as i was to you.
Good as I was to you.

Grace

I was at TJ Maxx today and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked towards the sound and saw some people whispering and looking back to the end of the next aisle. When I walked down that aisle, I saw that an older lady had hit a shelf and many things had fallen to the ground and broken. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically trying to clean up. I felt so bad for her. Every one was just standing there staring at her. So I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces.

After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, “Leave it, we will clean this up.” The lady, totally embarrassed said, “I need to pay for all this.” The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, “No ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything!” If you have read this far, give me another minute.

Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine God doing the same for you! Imagine the broken pieces of your mistakes or the pieces of your broken heart from all the blows life has thrown at you all over the floor and you’re there trying to collect all of the pieces and fix them yourself. Now imagine God comes and kneels right down beside you, smiles and says to you, “Leave it all there, I will clean this up for you.”

He loves you that much and wants to put all of those pieces back together if you will let Him! With Him we have this insurance and it’s called GRACE! It’s free. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you, help you, and to heal you. He’s faithful, I promise 🖤

FROM THE HEALING...

Now is my chance to break free
From the binds that held me so tight.
Forever you will be loved,
But now the time is not right.
Go find your happiness, live your dream;
Your future is yours to create,
But I must let go of this burden
And release your hurt from my space.
The ego makes such presumptions,
It can create such a story of pain,
But no longer do I feel the need
To reassure, plead, beg, explain.
The connection we have is so special,
But in this 3D world it's a bind.
From this day you are mine in the realms
But not held to my physical mind.
I hope you find your happiness,
But the journey is mine alone.
I leave you with love and forgiveness
And I thank you for touching my soul.
I'm not searching for anything else right now,
You can choose to believe that or not,
But if something takes my attention
I will embrace it with all that I've got.
No longer attached to an outcome,
My love is awash with the sea.
I am living my life and taking the chance,
For what is meant to be will be.
FROM THE HURT...
I see you now like a peacock,
Your light for all to see;
I can't help but think you are needy
Of someone more complete than me.
I need to remove the memories
Of all I had planned in my head;
I need to allow you to shine
Without my burden of lead.
I know what we have can't be mended,
Yet I know what we have is true;
My ego protects, builds defences,
And I know I'm not worthy of you.
So I'm blocking your heart from my thoughts,
I just need to drift for a while.
I don't want to grow anymore right now;
I just need to regain my smile.
You talk about bonds and dimensions,
But this life's about money and work.
I know I have been dismissive
But it's how I deal with my hurt.
I won't hold you back on your journey,
I won't interject on your dreams,
But the thought of you with another
Sends a heart pain that fills me with screams.
I imagine you with such attention
For you've nothing to hold you back;
My ego can only judge you
On how my own brain would react.
So I'm stuck holding on, I'm stuck letting go,
You can't hold me up any longer,
But thankyou for your unconditional love;
Inside I know you are stronger.
I won't say I love you and beg,
I won't plead, won't fall to my knees.
I have chosen this level where ego dictates
The life that I should lead.
Goodbye my forever friend,
I secretly hope not forever,
You will always be the sun that shines
But you shine more when we're not together.
FROM THE HEART...
Two lovers left in limbo,
Yet such love lies in-between;
If only they could forge the path
That reaches both their dreams.
